Just to update: The sedation nurse called on Friday to make sure I wouldn't screw up the pre-sedation regimen. HOWEVER, he is allowed to nap as much as he wants, whenever he wants, all day long.

T, You've still got it! Remember, I passed on to you that infamous immune system instilled in me by SWBT (we could only get sick on weekends, holiday, and vacation days)! Do hope you all stay healthy during cold/flu season! Mom S.

While I'll concede that Dr. Sleep doubtless had a pleasant disposition owing to his fatherhood, I'd also like to point out that I was charmed by his German accent. I know "German" and "charming" are infrequently used in the same sentence, but there's just something about having a graph explained to you in dulcet German tones. Or something like that.

Simon is fairly well-positioned to avoid the cold. Genetically, his father has doubtless contributed his Iron Constitution that led to him missing exactly zero school days due to illness all the way through sixth grade. And his mother, of course, passed on the Comprehensive Resistance she developed to every communicable disease passed on by the girls of St. Mary's Academy. Finally, I'm thinking of teaching him some ninja tactics to evade airborne pathogens: "Simon, you must learn to think like a rhinovirus! Be the rhinovirus! And wear this headband."

Glad to hear the surgery isn't needed now. That must be such a relief to all of you. And uh, good luck with that cold prevention thing. Though if any smartypants could find a way, I'm sure it's you!
